PA Amy Baker is a 2004 graduate of Philadelphia University, now Thomas Jefferson University, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduating from PA school, she worked in a family practice office in Collegeville for 14 years before to transitioning to internal medicine where she began working with Dr. O’Connor. She loves being involved in the continuity of care for patients that is integral to the role of a primary care provider. In addition to working clinically, PA Baker has been involved in education for much of her career, first as a faculty member in the PA Program at Philadelphia University and now as the founding PA Program Director and Department Chair of the Physician Associate Education Department at West Chester University. She recently completed an education-focused Doctorate of Medical Science at the University of Pittsburgh emphasizing excellence in physician assistant education. She lives locally with her husband and 3 children and can often be found on the pool deck volunteering with her children’s swim and diving teams or on the playing field where she coaches soccer and lacrosse.
